After the fireplace – The Garden Palace The Garden Exhibition Palace was designed on land between The federal government Residence stables (now the Conservatorium of Music) and Governor Bourke's statue, a region right up until then used for grazing. The Palace was developed to a style and design by Federal government Architect James Barnet for th
